Seed Pray (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
You can sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth. Depending on how you sign in, we may receive your name and email address to identify your account.
We store the content you create in the app—such as prayer requests, prayer groups, gratitude journal entries, profile details, Focus session history, the groups and prayers you pin to the top, and community activity (for example, when you tap “I Prayed” or mark a group prayer answered)—so you can use Seed Pray across your devices.
Your account and synced content are stored with Supabase (database and cloud file storage for profile photos). Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Completed Focus sessions may be saved to your account so your prayer history stays available.
Personal prayers: Prayers in My Prayers are visible only to you. They are stored in your account and protected by database access rules (row-level security) so no other user can read them. Community group prayers are visible to members of that group.
Change from version 1.x: Earlier versions encrypted personal prayers on one device with a key that never left it, so those prayers couldn’t be read on your other devices. Starting with version 2.0, personal prayers are no longer encrypted on the device. When you open the app on the device that holds the old key, those prayers are re-saved to your account as regular text so you can read them on all your devices. If a prayer can’t be unlocked on any of your devices, the app lets you type it again.
Saved on your device: So the app works without an internet connection, Seed Pray keeps a copy of your prayers, groups, pins, and any changes you make while offline on your device, then sends those changes when you’re back online. This copy uses iOS data protection, is excluded from device and iCloud backups, and is removed when you sign out. Garden growth progress, sound volumes, garden background, and language preference are stored only on your device. If you recorded voice gratitude entries in an earlier version, those audio files stay on your device; we store only a filename reference with the entry.
Depending on features you use, Seed Pray may ask for:
During a Focus session, the title of the prayer you chose can appear in a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. You can turn Live Activities off in iOS Settings.
We do not use App Tracking Transparency or advertising trackers. Seed Pray does not access your camera for recording video.
After a Focus session, you may optionally save a verse celebration image to your Photos or share it through the system share sheet (for example Messages or Mail). Images are created on your device. Seed Pray does not upload those images to our servers; destinations you pick in the share sheet are governed by those apps’ own policies.
Seed Pray may offer optional donations as in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Seed Pray does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not show ads in the app.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or marketers. Data is used to operate the app and may be processed by infrastructure providers we rely on (such as Supabase for hosting, Google for Google Sign-In, and Apple for Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases).
Community groups are visible only to their creator and members. Inside a group, members can see its prayers, other members’ display names, and activity such as who prayed for a prayer or marked it answered. Content you share yourself via the system share sheet is sent only to the destinations you choose.
You can update profile information in the app. You can delete your account permanently from Help Center in Settings. You may also email us to request access to or deletion of your data. Signing out removes the offline copy of your prayers from the device. Uninstalling the app removes other on-device data such as garden progress.
